CPCHE/Unicef Report Card 17 Echo Event
Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 (via ZOOM)
1:30-2:45 pm ET (US and Canada)
Within the context of the UNICEF report card indicators, our panel will present findings from a recent national survey of child care professionals that highlight concerns about poor air quality, pesticides use, lack of green space and limited action on climate change. We will share actionable steps to create healthier indoor and outdoor learning settings, and discuss the recently launched national vision for healthy and sustainable child care in Canada. The panel will also discuss the physical and mental health benefits of a shift to electric school buses as a visible commitment to reducing air pollution and climate action in the lives of students and their communities. Raffi will speak to the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring vision; Respecting Earth and Child – restoring our planet and building community.
Educational and environmental health practitioners, researchers, policy makers, parents and caregivers — we welcome anyone interested in learning environments that promote children’s health and well-being. Please join us for an engaging and informative conversation.
