Healthy Environments for Learning Day (HELD) in Canada aims to raise awareness of and encourage action to prevent environmental health risks to children in early learning environments and schools.

In 2018, the Canadian Partnership for Children’s Health and Environment (CPCHE) was pleased to take on the leadership of Healthy Schools Day in Canada. Healthy Schools Day was launched by Canadians for A Safe Learning Environment (CASLE), which has since closed its doors. CPCHE has been a founding and long-standing partner in Healthy Schools Day.

In 2022, Healthy Schools Day was renamed Healthy Environments for Learning Day to be inclusive of child care and early learning settings. Additionally, CPCHE coordinates a thematic focus for each annual campaign to foster synergy and encourage policy action.

CPCHE’s vision for Healthy Environments for Learning Day is one of collaboration. If you have ideas to share or would like to get involved, please contact us.
