On behalf of The Sandbox Project, we wish to draw your attention to, and encourage your support for, the continuation of the Canadian Healthy Infant Longitudinal Development (CHILD) Study, an internationally recognized, longitudinal population-based birth cohort investigating the origins of chronic childhood illnesses.
Comments on Early Childhood Section of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services Website
Drawing upon CPCHE’s experience in promoting children’s environmental health and our collectiveknowledge of the scientific evidence linking prenatal and early life environmental exposures with adversedevelopmental and health outcomes, we believe that there should be a greater focus on healthyenvironments within the Ministry’s early childhood website.
Lowering the national blood lead intervention level
In our June 16th, 2011 letter to the Minister of Health and the Chair of the F/P/T Committee on Health and the Environment (attached), we advocated that the federal and provincial governments lower the Canadian blood lead intervention level.
