Join our team! CPCHE is seeking a part-time communications and project coordinator for our healthy learning environments initiative and other collaborative work of the CPCHE partnership. Apply by 15 September.
CPCHE is delighted to announce a generous donation from the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring. The contribution, which coincides with CPCHE’s 20th anniversary, will enable the partnership to deepen its collective work to advance healthy learning environments for children and action on climate change.
“We are thrilled at this new collaboration with the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring,” says CPCHE Executive Director, Erica Phipps. “Raffi’s voice and leadership on climate action is a beacon of hope, and we share common cause with the Foundation’s commitment to children. This contribution comes at a particularly opportune time for CPCHE, as we mark our 20th anniversary and rededicate our collective efforts to work across sectors towards healthier and more equitable environments for children in Canada.”
Feature article in Green Teacher on Healthy Schools Day climate action campaign
In light of the COVID-19 crisis, we have decided not to hold the Healthy Schools Day climate action campaign in spring 2020. Instead, we are encouraging students, educators, administrators, and school community members to start planning Healthy Schools Day climate action projects for the 2020-2021 school year. As we continue physical distancing to reduce the spread of the virus, now is a great time to explore ideas and connect online to start building your plans for the Countdown to Climate Action.
Check out the Resources tab for campaign ideas, curriculum resources, and to learn more about climate change, its health impacts and what we can all do to reduce carbon emissions and protect kids’ health. And get ready to celebrate our collective achievements in spring 2021!
