Speakers & Bios 

Dr. Bruce Lanphear 

Bruce Lanphear, MD, MPH is a Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. His research focuses on understanding the impact of toxic chemicals on children’s health, especially from exposures that occur during early brain development. Bruce co-founded Little Things Matter to disseminate new science to protect children from toxic chemicals and expand the focus of policy to prevent disease and disability. 

Dr. Chris Carlsten

Chris Carlsten, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Medicine, Canada Research Chair in Occupational and Environmental Lung Disease and holds the Astra-Zeneca Chair in Occupational and Environmental Lung Disease at the University of British Columbia. He is the Head of UBC Respiratory Medicine, Director of the Air Pollution Exposure Laboratory as well as the Legacy for Airway Health.
