CPCHE’s Executive Director, Erica Phipps, was invited to appear before the federal Standing Committee on Health on Thursday, October 18, 2015, during the committee’s deliberations on lung cancer. Erica’s speaking notes, which feature CPCHE’s radon work in the child care sector, are available below.
CPCHE, together with Dr. Bruce Lanphear (Simon Fraser) and Dr. Robin Walker (Western) submitted a joint letter to the federal Ministers of Health and Environment urging immediate action on Triclosan, an antibacterial chemical widely used in hand soaps, personal care products, plastics and other everyday items, citing concerns about health risks.
